The museum complex was designed in the late 1950s by Alfred Mansfeld and Dora Gad and was opened to public in 1965.
It is an example of post-war modernist architecture consisting of low, rectilinear, flat-roofed buildings which spread out on the hilltop, surrounded by a maze of courtyards similar to a Mediterranean village.
Guided by the wish to reflect the unique architecture of the museum in the new interior of the shop, we traced the roof tops silhouette of the “village” buildings.
The drawing was then converted into three-dimensional objects which constitute the basis for the store’s display and storage units.
