Amsterdam Townhouse

Amsterdam Townhouse

This one fine Home resonates with Coco Chanel’s perception of the art of living: it is not houses I love, it’s the life I live in them…
A family townhouse in the center of Amsterdam blessed with a south-facing garden set the foundations for the spatial arrangement of its living spaces. A central staircase which once divided the townhouse into back and front has been replaced with a new linear configuration resonating with the desire to infuse borderless free-flowing spaces, a spatial quality which the owners expressed from the outset. Life within the house is celebrated from street to garden and from garden to street – an urban retreat for life in the city.
While the Lower Garden level and Street level manifest the family’s leisure spaces, the upper floor is reserved for the private quarters of the family.
Craft is a common denominator to the design; mostly bespoke and personal, tailored around the habits, dreams and lifestyle of the family.
